In this weekly club you will learn to knit or crochet, build confidence and work on a variety of projects.
What will you learn?
Crochet:
Learn the basics in your first couple of classes, slip knots (not the band), chain and single stitch and make a headband. After that, we will gauge your skill level and either make a drawstring bag teaching you even more stitches or learn the magic circle making a soft toy.
Knitting:
As a beginner, you will learn how to cast-on (aka start your project), how to work the knit stitch, how to have nice and neat edges and how to bind-off (as in finish your project). Once you have the basics set, we will build your confidence and introduce new skills (purl, increase, decrease…). We will also give you all the knowledge to get you started on your knitting journey.
If you have joined us in the previous term, we can show you new stitches around crochet or switch to knitting.
Who is this workshop for?
This class is suitable for children Grade 5 and above. The class is aimed for beginners and those that want to level up their skills. The maximum class size is 12, min class size is 3 kids.
When is the weekly club?
Tuesdays at 4:15 PM for 1 hour.
What is included in the course? And what do I have to bring?
All materials are included and you just have to bring yourself. Occasionally we might ask to bring fabric to teach the kids repurposing materials and we will give you a heads' up on that.
Club Length/Price:
10 sessions of 1 hour, AED 1050 (plus 5% VAT)
Option for 9 sessions of 1 hour, AED 950 (plus 5% VAT) to start 23 April available, please message us.
Cancellations/No-shows
Please inform us at least a day prior if your child isn't able to attend the class, so we can offer you an alternative class at our studio in JLT. Any no-shows will be charged at the full price.
