Follow up from our Intro to Quilting, we are bringing you a new class and 3 new skill levels. You will get familiar with Foundation Paper Piecing, Mitred Corners and binding your quilt. We will be working on place mats.
What will you learn?
In the first session, we will cut your fabrics and sew them together using the foundation paper piecing technique. We will finish your place mats (mini quilts) with mitred corners and binding your project.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is suitable for adults who have completed our Beginner Course or Intro to Quilting (or made similar projects).
What is included in the course? And what do I have to bring?
This makes 4 place mats. If you would like to make less, you will need less fabric and vice versa.
+/- 6 Fat Quarters for popsicles (we will use a lovely pattern for you to keep)
2 x Fat quarters or 1/2 m fabric for lolly background
2x Fat quarters or 1/2 m fabric for Mitered corner border
2x Fat quarters or 1/2 m fabric for Binding
1 m for Backing fabric
1 m as for batting
We can provide you with thread (white, grey or navy), any other colour, please bring a spool along. The remaining supplies can be found at our friends in Classic Quilts.
