Dubai Frocktails is an event for sewists to get together, make new friends and admire each other’s handmade outfits.

Inspired by other Frocktails parties worldwide, we are hosting our second Dubai Frocktails in April 2025 at the legendary QE2.

We welcome sewists of all abilities from Dubai, our lovely neighbouring emirates, or wherever. Anyone can join in! The idea is that you wear something you have made yourself. You can sew a new garment if you like, but it’s also a great opportunity to wear an older outfit that you feel deserves another outing. And despite the name, you don’t have to wear a dress. We want this to be an inclusive event, so wear what makes you happy!

We are exciting to organize this for the second time to make this an unforgettable event with delicious food and drinks, exciting prizes and beautiful handmade garments!

Details:

Afternoon tea is from 3 PM till 6:30 PM on Saturday, 12 April 2025 in the Queens Grill on the QE2.


There will be a show & tell for you to share what pattern you are wearing, what fabric you used and anything else you would like to highlight about your gorgeous handmade outfit. We promise it will be lots of fun, but if you are shy, you can opt out.


Price:
Cunard Package, AED 225 per person (inclusive of cold selections and desserts)
Britannia Package, AED 275 per person (inclusive of holt & cold selections and desserts)
Tea/coffee and still water is included. Other beverages can be ordered and paid on-site. 

Location:
Queens Grill, on board the QE2

Check in:

Afternoon tea starts at 3 PM; check-in will be in front of the Queens Grill to pick up your name tag. Please be on time.


Refunds & Waitlist:

Ticket sales will close on 29 March 2025 and are non-refundable.

If you can no longer make it to the event, please let us know by emailing [email protected] 


There will be a waitlist, so we may be able to release waitlist ticket(s) and then issue a refund. For refunds please note a processing fee of 2.9% plus AED 1 will be charged as this is what the payment gateway would charge us; as well as an admin fee of AED 25. If there is no waitlist, we won’t be able to issue a refund. Thank you for your understanding!
